The Salty Reykjanes ATV tour begins with pick up 8:30
The Reykjanes peninsula offers scenery as spectacular as anywhere in Iceland. A brief drive from Reykjavik brings you to dramatic Lake Kleifarvatn with its bubbling hot springs and colorful solfataras of Seltun. You will cross dramatic lava flows along the Krýsuvík Coast going to the south shore fishing village of Grindavík. In Grindavik we will visit a Shark shack where you can have a taste of fermented shark and "Brennivin", the icelandic schnapps. We will also visit the Salted cod exhibition, learn about Icelanders salty life and how important the fish industry has been for Iceland.
After lunch you will have a ride on ATV 4X4 bike in a magnificent landscape around Grindavik and the Blue lagoon area. You will see black sandy beaches, dormant volcanoes, shipwrecks and
Once you are at the Blue lagoon you have the choice of having a bath in the wonderful Blue lagoon or go to Reykjavik with one of the scheduled buses.
